Is Camp Hosting for you?

Ever dreamed of waking up with the sound of the ocean right outside your window? Do you enjoy working with others? Then, we are looking for YOU!

San Juan County Parks is looking for a camp host with a small RV or trailer to be a presence in San Juan County Park, located on the west side of San Juan Island and at Odlin County Park on Lopez Island. Duties include but are not limited to: information resource for campers and day users, assisting Park Staff, light park maintenance, and administrative tasks. Park hosting experience and public relation skills are a plus. Position starts ASAP. Minimum commitment 30 days; maximum stay six months. Call Ashley at 360-378-8420 for more information.

Do you want to help keep our parks open for years to come? San Juan County Parks is seeking volunteers to help out in your beautiful county parks. Help us keep a favorite park open by assisting with grounds maintenance, litter pick-up, monitoring park activities, public information and outreach, park interpretation, data entry, or special projects.

A variety of volunteer opportunities are available. You bring your enthusiasm, we provide guidance, support and an incredible work setting! If you'd like to help us look after a County park on your island, email us, please put volunteer as the subject line, or call the Parks Administration office at 360-378-8420. Service Projects


Other opportunities exist for individuals or groups to conduct volunteer service projects within our parks. Such projects may involve trail construction, carpentry, or other maintenance projects to enhance park properties or facilities. Often, the work can be tailored to fit your group.
