San Juan Island
Camping
The park is open year 'round! New for 2009! Camping reservations are now made ONLINE. Navigate to our "Camping" page, and click on “Webervations online camping reservations” along the left side of the page (link will appear on March 18 at 9:00am PDT).

Due to staffing constraints, we can only take phone reservations from those people who do not have access to the internet, and only between 10:00 AM and noon PDT. With our online reservation system, you can make your reservation any time of the day or night, with no busy phone lines. It will really help us do our jobs so much better, if you can take advantage of this online booking system.

Remember, reservations can only be made between 5 and 90 days in advance of your arrival!

San Juan Island offers the most organized and developed visitor facilities, as well as the town and historic port of Friday Harbor. To view information on San Juan Island trails and bicycle routes, click here.

This beautiful park, located on the west side of San Juan Island, includes rocky bluffs and gravel beaches that overlook Haro Strait with views to the Straits of San Juan de Fuca and Vancouver Island. Most sites have water views across an open meadow surrounded by trees. Park amenities include water, flush toilets, small picnic shelter, picnic tables, beach and boat launch.

Site #18 at San Juan County Park will continue to function as a walk-in site. Only two passenger vehicles will be allowed to park near the entrance to the campsite-- NO campers, camper vans, RV's, or trailers of any type will be allowed if you are using site #18; please select a site designated for RV's. As a safety item, vehicles must be parked at least five feet (5') from the edge of the park road. Click here to view photos of the site parking area and entrance to tent area.
