PROSECUTOR ANNOUNCES NEWS RELEASES NOW "ONLINE"
The Office of the San Juan County Prosecuting Attorney is starting
an online service of distributing public announcements or news
releases. This is a kind of "virtual press conference if
you will," observed Prosecutor Randy Gaylord. "We plan
to circulate messages from time to time about our office, topics
we are involved in, cases of interest, press releases, and the
like." The messages will be sent on an irregular basis, as
time and
the importance of issues dictate.
The initial distribution list is journalists in San Juan County,
but anyone who is interested is invited to call or e-mail the
Prosecutor's office and ask to be added to the list.
If you would like these messages to be sent to someone else in
your organization, please send us the address for that person
and we would be happy to oblige you. If you do not wish to receive
messages in this manner, please let us know that too, and we will
remove you from this list.
In addition to the items from the announcements, we will send
notification when we have added information to the "hot topics"
section of the Prosecutor's web site. Look at: www.co.san-juan.wa.us/prosecutor
and click on "Hot Topics."
"We are always looking at new ways in which we can inform
the public of our activities. This is one method that can be accomplished
in a cost-effective manner. We are making technology work for
the people," added Gaylord.
