Each year HUD announces its national “Area Median Income” numbers and the state announces
the new allocation of funds. The county then publishes a notice announcing that
grant funds are available for qualified projects and asks organizations to apply to be chosen
by the Council. Hearings to allow public input and resolutions to confirm the project(s)
are to follow.
