Council Clerk / Office Manager
Ingrid is the chief of staff for the San Juan County Council. She oversees the operation of the office, supervises the Council staff and insures that official
documents generated by the Council are properly recorded and preserved and public
notices are posted as required by law.
Raised in Texas, Ms. Gabriel lived in Friday Harbor from 2003
until she returned to Texas to earn a Masters degree in legal studies in 2005.
While here, she worked for
the for San Juan County as a District Court Clerk and as an assistant clerk in the
Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
She returned to the San Juan Islands to rejoined the San Juan County staff in July,
Susan offers administrative support in the County Council office.
She is responsible for archiving documents and records retention,
uploading information to the County website and assisting advisory boards
and committees that are appointed by the Council.
Susan grew up on the East Coast in NY and CT. She obtained a Master’s
in Public Administration and worked in a CT municipality as a human resources manager.
After a trip to San Juan Island in 1998, she and her husband knew they wanted to live here.
Susan joined the Council office in spring of 2013.
