As of January 9, 2006, San Juan County is composed of six districts. Each Council
Member is elected to represent you from the district in which they reside. They
are elected by the the voters of their District ONLY (not countywide), and hold
four-year staggered terms.
The Council meets on Tuesdays as well as other special meeting days. Agendas and
Minutes for the Board of County Commissioners through December 20, 2005 and for
the County Council from January, 2006 forward, are available here, or from the link
provided at the left. They are also published weekly in the local newspaper and
are posted in the County Courthouse. |
