Food Worker Card Education & Testing
 
Food Worker card education and testing is now computerized  and available on San Juan, Orcas, and Lopez Islands. Allow at least 45 minutes to watch a video and take the exam. Multiple languages are available—English, Spanish and Korean.

Bring picture ID and $10 cash or check.

Hours and Availability
San Juan Island: Two computer monitors are available on a walk-in basis, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Call during those hours to make an appointment for a time between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Located at 145 Rhone Street, Friday Harbor; 378-4474.

Orcas Island:  One computer monitor is available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Call Wayne Totten, at 370-0590, to make sure the computer is available, or to schedule an appointment. Located at 62 Henry Road, Eastsound.

Lopez: The Public Library is working with this department to make Food Worker testing available on Lopez. One computer monitor is available when the library is open. Begin the program at least two hours before the library is scheduled to close.
As of 12/09 testing is available here:
   10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Mondays and Saturdays;
  10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays;
  10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
 
Food workers will turn in a copy of the completed test with a check for the fee, and will receive the Food Worker card, later, in the mail. Located at 2225 Fisherman Bay Road.
