Sheriff Bill Cumming was first elected to the office of Sheriff of San Juan County
in 1987. Sheriff Cumming has a B.A. degree with honors in Criminology from the University
of California at Berkeley. He has worked in the Law and Justice field for over 30
years. He and his wife, Maude, have two sons, Dan and Tim.

Undersheriff Jon Zerby has been a law enforcement officer since 1968 and has been
with the San Juan County Sheriff's office since 1988. He holds a B.A. degree in
Behavioral Science from Oglethroupe University and a Masters Degree in Social Science
from Pacific Lutheran University. He is married and has one son. |
