San Juan County Annual Docket

The Growth Management Act at RCW 36.70A.470(2) allows any interested person, including applicants, citizens, hearing examiners, and staff of other agencies, to request amendments to the San Juan County Comprehensive Plan  or development code. This process is known as the annual “Docket” process.   There are two types of amendments:

  • Comprehensive Plan/Code Text Amendments, and
  • Comprehensive Plan Map Amendments

Suggestions for amendments are submitted to the Community Development Department by March 1 each year on forms provided below.   Additional information related to the process and Frequently Asked Questions can be found by clicking on the "Docket Process" icon to the right. 

A map amendment (also known as a site specific redesignation) has a fee associated with it.
