To begin a Small Claims Suit for monetary damages, download and complete the Notice of Claim form and return it to the District Court with the filing fee of $35 (filed in person) or $45 (filed by mail). For claims brought by a corporation, HOA, partnership or other legal entity, the maximum amount of the claim is $5,000. For claims brought by a "natural person", the maximum amount of the claim is $10,000. Small claims trials are heard the third Tuesday of each month.
