Responsibilities

The Public Works Department is responsible for construction and maintenance of facilities and programs that support essential public services related to transportation, storm water and solid waste. These functions include:

  • Design, construction and maintenance of all County roads in San Juan County
  • Planning, design and construction of storm water facilities
  • Planning and contracting for solid waste services
