San Juan County Treasurer, Rhonda Pederson would like to remind taxpayers the second installment of property taxes will be due Monday, Nov 2, 2020. Typically, the second installment is due Oct 31. However, because the statutory due date falls over the weekend, payments will be considered timely if postmarked or dropped off by Nov. 2, 2020. After that date, interest charges and penalties will be added to your tax bill.
In-person payment is still suspended until further notice.
Payments may be made:
Tax payments must be postmarked by Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, to avoid interest charges. Remember to mail early to avoid additional charges. Placing your envelope in your mailbox on Nov. 2 does not guarantee it will be postmarked the same day.
For taxpayers who signed up for autopay, your payment will be made automatically for the amount shown on your most recent second-half tax payment coupon on Oct 29.
