January 2023 - December 2026
Jane Fuller moved to Lopez Island in 2017 to live in San Juan County full-time with her husband and daughter. She has been coming to San Juan County, however, since 1978 where she spent summers as a child with her family camping on their land. For me, Jane says, “Lopez has always been ‘home’.”
Born in New York City, Jane grew up in Canada and has dual citizenship. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts (Honors) at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and her Master of Arts at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex in Brighton, UK.
Since moving to Lopez Island, Jane’s understanding of local issues has deepened through her volunteer service with Friends of Lopez Island Pool, the Lopez Island School PTSA, and the Charter Review Commission (2021).
To the role of county council member, Jane brings a professional career in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors in the field of international development. She has acquired extensive experience in business development, contract and project management, auditing, monitoring, and evaluation, and possesses technical expertise in governance, gender equality, diversity, and inclusion. Jane is honored to serve on the county council as a public servant.
